Senioritis (Again)

Weekly Report 28: 4/9 - 4/14

I thought I would be cured by now but the dreaded disease is still impeding the success of this last six weeks! This last six weeks where grades are frozen and the mind has drifted to the last free summer before college. Overall, the week was successful as a location was found for the art show, but motivation for assessments and daily work is running low. This week allowed for reflection and learning on the idea of the final weeks of high school and how they should be spent. In other words, I need to keep doing my work.

A guess is that it is exceptionally hard to focus at this point because most work leading up to the art show has been completed. The paintings are just waiting for Milessa’s approval and final varnishing. The art show is prepared for and the location is determined. The only work left is minor details and there is three weeks left before the art show. Thus, having so little to do leaves time to work on other classes or do fun things and sometimes that distracts from the framework assessments ISM uses.

Moving into next week a goal is to turn all work in on time. Another goal is to have the paintings evaluated by Milessa. The last goal is to have art show invitations sent out online and in person. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding, the art show is going to be great.
