Cold Call Preparation and Fun Research

Updated: Oct 8, 2018

Weekly Report 4

| Weekly Report 4: 9/10-9/16

This week consisted of, you guessed it, more research. Neuroradiology is interesting, and therefore the research is entertaining and mentally stimulating. The impending subject of cold calls increased stress level this week, but the practice helped prepare for calling. Understanding professionals will say no and may even be rude is scary but important for developing work skills. Things do not always go as planned! However, this week went according to plan. All work was completed before the time it was due. Resume goals set last week were completed and a color scheme was found as well.

Work ethic continues to be on an upward climb, which is promising considering the plethora of activities completed this week in addition to ISM work. Could have spent more time on assessment 3, but this week was focused more on the resume. Stress level related to work was low this week, but as previously discussed, cold calls are a subject of concern. Despite these feelings and the time spent training for sapphire performances and completing homework for other classes, this week was successful.

A goal for next week is to be confident in cold calling and not be too nervous. Cold calls are scary but will allow growth in communication and networking. Work ethic will need to continue even though there is no assessment due. Planning ahead and continuing work will allow less stress in the future and continued establishment of time management, and completing work on time without procrastination.
