Impending Stress of Cold Calls

Weekly Report 5

| Weekly Report 5: 9/17 - 9/23

This week consisted of stress from sources outside ISM. The grading period ended (all As!) , the homecoming football game was moved from Friday to Thursday (which wreaked havoc on Sapphire practice schedule and available time for homework), and homecoming festivities were on Saturday. Due to all of this insanity, ISM work was kept on the back burner this week. But, with a newfound resilience, this crazy week will be a helpful reminder as cold calls start next week.

Work ethic in the class was good. (Key word: In class) The resume is coming along well and peer evaluations helped tremendously. Seeing organization of others resumes allowed for reflection as well as inspiration. Confidence is higher going into next week when the resume is due. No assessment was due this week and plans for working on it fell through when scheduling hit the fan. Time management was given best ability, but other areas outside of ISM needed attention.

This upcoming week cold calls start. Working on those means a laptop needs to be nearby at all times, notes and schedule needs to be out, and confidence needs to be high. Before this, a voicemail must be set up and the resume needs to be perfected. Assessment 4 needs to be completed this week, and it will be a research assessment. Getting life back on track is another goal for this week, as there was no time over the weekend to recuperate.
