Weekly Report 19: 1/29 - 2/4
This past week was spent efficiently and goals were achieved. This included finishing a painting and starting two new ones. Learning important details for art shows proved important as a future goal is having an art show in a gallery. Details like varnishing correctly and having wire on the back for proper hanging is especially important for obtaining this goal. One of the most important things learned this week was about an art supply store in Plano. This store supplies a lot of the tools Milessa uses and it was a great experience to go there and buy some new art supplies. These will be important to use moving forward as they will ensure higher quality work.
Work ethic was good this past week, as all assignments were completed on time. Time was managed appropriately and will be continued moving forward. This efficient time management allowed for more work time for paintings and other details. Working efficiently at mentor visits allowed for technique work, detail learning, and photoshop learning. Time management allowed for more learning this week and this will be important in the future preparing for the final product.
Going forward, more paintings need to be completed this week. The art collection is starting to take shape, and continuing with this theme is important moving forward. At least two hours needs to be dedicated to the website. Pictures need to be updated and the format needs to be evaluated. Picture quality needs to be taken down as the pictures take a while to load, and it is important that this does not continue. At least an hour needs to be dedicated to working with photoshop, as it is a new tool and needs to be explored for efficient use in the future. Â
