Weekly Report 21: 2/12 - 2/18

This week consisted of attempting to juggle outside work with ISM work. To be specific, traveling back from Oregon and preparing for a Sapphire contest took up the majority of available time this week. Technique was focused on when working on the still life painting. New styles were experimented with, such as using an accent color to highlight the appearance of shadows. Unfortunately, the other two goals set for this week were not accomplished, as well as the failure to complete Assessment 15 on time.

Performance was struggling this week, as there was genuinely not enough time to do everything that was scheduled for this week. This forced priorities to take over and the Assessment 15 had to be postponed in order to succeed in other areas. This displays a very important lesson that was learned over the course of ISM, sometimes sleeping is more valuable than getting a good grade. Every once and a while things must slip, and it is more important now to learn from mistakes, move forward, and to not be too hard on myself.

Going into next week a goal is to complete all work on time, and stay on track with the final product calendar. This will allow for personal work on time management and staying on top of things. Another goal is to finish another painting, and varnish three others. This will ensure paintings are adequately prepared for the upcoming art show.
