Roses are Red

Weekly Report 24: 3/11-3/18

There was a lot scheduled for this past week, as school was out for spring break. A Plein Aire painting session was scheduled with Milessa, but was postponed. This is due to the death of my sweet dog Rosie, which threw a rut in all plans for the week. To cope with this loss, no work was completed and honestly, that is okay. There is plenty of time to finish the final product and taking a few days off to cope with loss will not destroy the rest of the semesters work.

Overall, work ethic was bad this week and as previously mentioned, it’s okay. This week allowed for reflection and rest. Using this time to recoup will be beneficial moving forward as it allowed for thought on the paintings to be finished and the artists process. Going into the following week, school will be starting again which will allow for a normal routine and consistent work.

This week, getting back on track for the final product calendar is the biggest goal. Obtaining a space for the art show is the primary focus, and meeting in person with places I aspire to show at will be beneficial. Working hard and finishing up all work that was supposed to be completed over spring break is another goal, and achieving that will allow for better progress moving forward. The last and most important goal is to remember that it’s okay to fall behind sometimes, and to not be too hard on myself for that.
