Weekly Report 15: 12/11 - 12/17
This week consisted of learning more about art techniques. Focus was turned towards sketching anything and everything and working with different shading styles. Practice is the best way to improve technical art skill, so creating a sketch or painting every day will allow for this improvement. The goal for obtaining a personal interview was obtained, and it is scheduled for Thursday of this week. 15 hours was definitely spent on painting and creating pieces for the portfolio, however, keeping track on the original work log needs to be improved next week. Stress stayed low and positivity was maintained.
Work ethic was good this week. A lot of time was spent creating for the portfolio, and two paint pieces were completed. Time was spent appropriately, and outside of class work ethic was also improved. The time spent on art has shown to improve other areas of life as well, which is exciting. Most down time is spent on creating art, even if it is sketching while watching evening TV shows with parents. This time will be extremely helpful in the final outcome of the original work.
A main goal for this week is to have a good interview on Thursday and hopefully obtain a mentor. Also, continued time on the original work will be necessary. Another goal is to spend time working on the original work display board. The outline created will take some time to create on the actual thing, so starting that this week will allow for a good place coming back from winter break. An ambitious goal for the week, is to complete two more pieces for the portfolio.
