This week was productive and slow at the same time. Most goals from last week were achieved since cold calls started. At&t made setting up a voicemail difficult, but it was accomplished. Two places were called this week due to the delay of setting up a voicemail. The first place, North Star Diagnostic, took down information and said they would be in contact. Steps have been taken to understand the fact that they will most likely not be in contact. The second call, Radiology department at Baylor Scott and White Frisco, was more interesting. An uninterested receptionist answered which brought confidence down at the beginning. However, this guy proved to be very helpful and set up an interview for October 2 at 3:00 pm. Assessment 4 was completed to the best of ability, a task that took less time than usual as 4 weeks of practice allow for understanding of what is expected from the assignment.
Work ethic was alright this week, not as high as it could’ve been but not rock bottom like last week. Life is slowing down with out of school activities and homework from other classes was more manageable this week. Time was more focused on ISM this week, which proved rewarding as an interview was obtained. To be more specific, work ethic toward most topics was great. Work ethic towards the assessment sucked. Bad, low, rock bottom, but it was completed on time and lessons were learned.
Going into next week there is an interview scheduled and business symposium on top of a football game, practices, other classes, and ISM work. Work ethic and sanity will be tested next week, as many things are happening that deserve utmost attention. As many accomplishments have been made thus far in ISM by the mindset of “what is going on, is this correct, how is this happening?” that sort of thinking will continue into next week.
