Weekly Report 8: 10/9 -10/15

This week consisted of one ISM class, so most work was completed outside of school. Minimal workload this week compared to last week so every assignment was completed before deadline and efficiently. During class on friday, the duration of the period was spent calling professionals. Five hospitals were called and most were automated voice messages or follow ups leaving voicemails. Medical City Frisco, however, agreed to an interview Monday the 15th at 2:00 pm. The digital portfolio was completed this week and a large amount of time was spent creating it. All goals were achieved this week.

Work ethic was great this week as there was no school on Monday and half school on Wednesday. This allowed a lot of time for other schoolwork to be completed and for ISM work to be completed. This opened up Friday’s class period for calling professionals. Following up with some places already called was frustrating because talking to automated messages and voicemails gets redundant. Medical City Frisco agreed to an interview however, which will prove beneficial for next week. Time was managed appropriately this week, as there was lots of it available due to the breaks from school.

Next week a goal is to have a successful interview and establish meaningful connections with the radiology department at Medical City Frisco. It has proven to be difficult to obtain interviews with hospitals so making the most of ones obtained is extremely necessary. Sending thank you letters is also a task that needs completion next week. Overall, continuing with productivity and learning about radiology is the most important goal.
